Every year on National POW/MIA Recognition Day, members of VFW Post 475 and the VFW Post 475 Honor Guard conduct a 12-hour vigil. Every hour we read the name, rank, date of loss, and home of record of a local MIA service member to pay tribute and honor our POW/MIAs. This is held at the Newark Veterans Memorial at the intersection of East Main Street and Academy Street in Newark, Delaware.
